Taiwan Reports Three Median-Line Crossings in New Daily Watch
Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense reported six Chinese aircraft sorties around Taiwan in its October 30 bulletin, including three that crossed the Strait’s median line and entered northern, eastern and southwestern airspace. Seven Chinese naval vessels and one official ship were also detected. The figures cover 06:00 on October 29 to 06:00 on October 30, 2026, Taiwan time. The ministry said Taiwan’s armed forces monitored and responded with mission aircraft, ships and coastal missile systems. This is a newly completed reporting window, not an addition to the previous day’s totals. The statement distinguishes naval vessels from the official ship, so describing all eight as warships would be inaccurate. It gives aircraft sorties rather than a count of individually identified aircraft. These are attributed ministry observations, not independently verified movements. The bulletin does not establish the purpose of the activity or, by itself, demonstrate that a new military operation is underway.
