Taiwan Reports 49 Chinese Sorties in Latest Daily Window

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense reported 49 Chinese military aircraft sorties around Taiwan during the reporting window from 06:00 on November 2 to 06:00 on November 3, 2026, Taiwan time. The ministry said 31 sorties entered central, southwestern and eastern airspace. It also recorded six Chinese naval vessels and six official ships operating around Taiwan. Taiwanese forces used mission aircraft, ships and shore-based missile systems to monitor and respond, according to the bulletin. These newly released observations cover a separate daily window from the figures previously reported here. They provide a fresh measure of air and maritime activity, rather than evidence by themselves of an imminent attack. The ministry’s brief statement does not establish the purpose of individual movements or identify a specific new exercise. Its aircraft figure counts sorties, not necessarily distinct airframes. The geographic breakdown describes reported activity without establishing that every flight entered Taiwan’s sovereign territorial airspace.
