Taiwan Reports 22 Chinese Sorties in New Daily Window

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense reported 22 Chinese military aircraft sorties, seven naval vessels and five official ships around Taiwan in its November 4 bulletin. The observation window ran from 06:00 on November 3 to 06:00 on November 4, 2026, Taiwan time. Fourteen sorties entered the southwestern and eastern air defence identification zone, according to the ministry. Taiwan said its forces monitored the activity and responded using aircraft, naval ships and coastal missile systems. This newly completed window is separate from the preceding day’s report and from the diplomatic and maritime developments covered overnight. The aircraft figure counts sorties, not necessarily distinct aircraft. The naval and official vessel categories are reported separately here and should not all be described as warships. These counts are Taiwan’s official observations, not independently verified movements. The bulletin does not establish individual missions’ intentions or, by itself, demonstrate that an attack or blockade is imminent.
